The OIEAHC holds the copyright to articles appearing in the WMQ.
The OIEAHC permits reuse that falls within the bounds of fair use of copyrighted material; all other uses require permission.
Authors of restricted content may not post copies (in PDF or any other format) of articles on social media pages, on personal or professional webpages, or deposit copies in open-access repositories. Instead, the WMQ encourages authors to provide links to their articles on JSTOR. Such links allow for the collection of important statistics of use and revenue. Authors may also wish to link to information about free access through the Register and Read Program.
Authors subject to mandates from funders, governments, or employers for immediate open access to their publications should seek information from their institutions or advice from the Editor about obtaining waivers to publish in the WMQ. Most U.S. institutions with an Open Access policy include, per best practices, an automatic waiver.
