ICYMI: The George III Archives project
In case you missed it….We are proud to announce that the OI has been asked to help organize the digitization of the George III archives—the papers and household documents of the King and his family. Of the massive collection—approximately a quarter of a million pages of material—only about 15% has been available to scholars up until now.
Today, instead of a regular blog post, we offer a series of links that describe the project as well as the fellowships we are offering to scholars of the Georgian period who want to access the archives and help shape the digitization project. Applications are due May 1.
