As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence in early American scholarship, the Omohundro Institute offers a variety of lectures and learning opportunities at no charge including the
- Council Lecture – Reflects the Omohundro Institute’s ongoing commitment to excellence in early American scholarship. Given by a former OI Council member, these lectures are meant for both scholarly and non-scholarly audiences.
- Vast Early America Lecture – Features a scholar, often an OI author, whose work has strong cross-disciplinary appeal to scholars of history, literature, gender and sexuality, race and identity, and cultural studies.
- William and Mary Quarterly Prize Lecture – Delivered by an author whose work is transforming our sense of the past.
