Regional Contributing Editors 2016–2018


The Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture is now accepting applications for the position of Regional Contributing Editor. Up to seven new appointments will be made.

The Editors find conference, symposium, and colloquia information for eleven geographical regions, as well as information regarding available fellowships throughout the U.S., Canada, U.K., and Europe. This information is published on the Institute’s Map. An honorarium of $500 will be given to each Editor.

The Institute’s scope encompasses the history and cultures of North America’s indigenous and immigrant peoples during the colonial, Revolutionary, and early national periods of the United States and the related histories of Canada, the Caribbean, Latin America, the British Isles, Europe, and Africa, from the sixteenth century to approximately 1820. A principal criterion for selection will be the applicant’s demonstration of current participation in scholarly forums that focus on these topics.
