We are pleased to announce the third annual meeting of the Virginia Consortium of Early Americanists (VCEA). On Saturday, January 28, 2017, the VCEA will meet at the Library of Virginia (800 E. Broad Street) in Richmond. The day’s events will begin at 10:00 and last until approximately 4:45 p.m.

Scholars from the OIEAHC, William and Mary Quarterly, University of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, University of Richmond, College of William & Mary, George Mason University, Shenandoah University and the Fred W. Smith National Library for the Study of George Washington at Mount Vernon will all participate.

Founded in order to provide a forum for the wealth of scholarship focused on early American history in Virginia, the group intends to meet twice a year. Graduate students are strongly encouraged to participate.
