In Memoriam: Alfred F. Young

Of all the scholars I have dealt with, [Al Young] was by far the most democratic. He was willing to accept contributions from anyone, no matter their “status.” At the same time, he did not hesitate to say “I’ll pass on that” if he really didn’t want something. I will miss him a lot.
